About Us
The Always Rise Foundation
Always Rise Foundation is a 501(c) non – profit organization founded in 2018. It is located in Lincoln, Nebraska. The foundation was founded by Travis Grant and Sedric Ashley, each serving as President and Vice President respectively of the board. The foundation was established with a vision of providing multiple services to different segments of the Lincoln community. Those segments include; 1) Lincoln youth, providing before and after school mentoring and tutoring as well as sports teams; and 2) those with special needs. We provide a wellness experience for those with special needs including functional fitness and nutrition education.
Why We Exist – While there are many non-profit organizations located in Lincoln there are none that provide this combination of offerings. In fact, the need continues to grow. One of the targeted areas for Always Rise Foundation is autism. A few facts about autism
· About 1 percent of the world population has autism spectrum disorder
· Prevalence in the United States is estimated at 1 in 59 births.
· More than 3.5 million Americans live with an autism spectrum disorder
· Prevalence of autism in U.S. children increased by 119.4 percent from 2000 (1 in 150) to 2010 (1 in 68)
· Autism is the fastest-growing developmental disability
· Prevalence has increased by 6-15 percent each year from 2002 to 2010. (Based on biennial numbers from the CDC
· Autism services cost U.S. citizens $236-262 billion annually
· A majority of costs in the U.S. are in adult services – $175-196 billion, compared to $61-66 billion for children

Above all a child with a mentor is significantly less likely to engage in destructive, inappropriate, violent, or disrespectful activity. Our goal is to make this significant impact for our community.
How We Get Involved
Always Rise Fitness
Always Rise Fitness mission is to provide functional training and fitness to individuals with special needs. At ARF we also educate our clients on nutrition and wellness. We offer classes that help clients with special needs build muscle, increase flexibility and improve nutrition. As a population, they have limited opportunities when it comes to health and physical fitness. We provide each client with one-on-one fitness training, group classes, as well as wellness coaching, which is focused on healthful behaviors, such as smart grocery shopping, taking a walk or going swimming. We focus on helping our community evolve into an environment where people with and without special needs can feel comfortable working on all aspects of health.
